Singer Chiharu Matsuyama (69) appeared live on FM NACK5’s “Matsuyama Chiharu ON THE RADIO” (Sundays at 9 p.m.) on November 30, 2010, mentioning rock singer Yuki Katsuragi, who died of peritoneal cancer in June 2010 at age 73. Matsuyama is currently on an autumn concert tour, performing in Fukuyama and Takamatsu in the last week of November. In reference to Okayama Airport, which he used on his way back to Sapporo from Takamatsu, he mentioned a singer from Okayama. He said, “The concerts were in Hiroshima and Kagawa Prefecture. The direct flight home was to Okayama. I looked around to see if there were any singer-songwriters or artists from Okayama, and I found Yuki Katsuragi,” he began. She has already passed away, but she had a unique vocal ability. It’s a pity, though,” he continued. He then played Ms. Katsuragi’s signature song, “Bohemian.
