On October 5, 2013, Yakkun Sakurazuka (37 years old) died in an automobile accident on a highway in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Yacukun was a member of the band “Bijo♂men Z,” in which he played the bass guitar. (Iori-den was his stage name when he was in the band.) He was now a popular distributor as a researcher of cross-dressing. It was Yakkun’s words that kept him from quitting his entertainment activities even in the face of tragedy. My dream is the same dream as Yakkun’s
On October 5, 2013, just before the tragedy occurred on a highway in Yamaguchi Prefecture, TaiGa’s band member Yakkun Sakurazuka said these words to her. A few minutes before the accident, he suddenly said to me, “Iori, you should do more things, because I know you can do them. He told me that I should do more things, such as mimicry, and that I should also work as a TV personality. I think it was because Yakkun himself was an all-around performer, singer, and voice actor that he saw potential in me and told me to do so. Yakkun himself chose the members by audition, and he seemed to want to feed us only with entertainment work. His words at that time still remain in my mind, and other words also remain in my mind. When asked why he still continues to visit the cemetery, after a long pause, TaiGa replied, “This is…what is it? After a long silence, TaiGa replied, “This is…I don’t know, it’s been a long time, and I don’t have to go. But the reason I am still able to do what I do is because of Yakkun. So on the anniversary of his death, I naturally think, “I should go and report to him. Even so, every year on the anniversary of Yakkun’s death, he says his mind wanders. Even now, there are people who take advantage of Yakkun’s death…. Even now, when I look at social networking sites, my heart still hurts, but then and now, when the anniversary of Yakkun’s death approaches, it is painful. I can’t talk about the details now, but someday when the time comes…. I hope to tell you all about what happened after that accident.” TaiGa is still active as a singer, but at one time she thought about retiring from show business. She said, “I continued my singing career with the goal of performing at the Budokan, but in 2019 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and lost my voice. On top of that, due to the corona, I was no longer able to perform live, and due to my age, I was seriously considering doing other work at that time. Also, last August, I was diagnosed with a disease called ureteral remnant, and even though I was prescribed medication, the symptoms got worse and worse, and I experienced unimaginable pain, with pus coming out of my belly button.”
