Soccer player Yuto Nagatomo’s description of Ms. Airi Taira as “amore” (Italian for “my beloved”) attracted so much attention that it became the buzz word of 2016. The following year, in 2017, Ms. Taira married Nagatomo. She suspended her performing career and moved to Italy, where Nagatomo plays. She then moved to Turkey and France before returning to Japan in 2021, where she lives to this day. Profile: Born in 1984 in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. In 1999, she won the Grand Prix out of 8,000 applicants at the “Hall of Chance” audition and made her debut in the movie “Dream Maker”. 2008, she was selected for the role of Kanna in the movie series “20th Century Boys” and won the 33rd Japan Academy Prize for Best New Actor. He has also appeared in dramas such as “3 years B class Kinpachi sensei” 6th series, “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~Ikemen Paradise~”, information program “Hirunandes! and variety shows such as “Moshi Moshi Tours” and “School Revolution! In January 2017, she married professional soccer player Yuto Nagatomo. She is now a mother of four boys.
She originally wanted to get married, but she started enjoying her work and before she knew it, she had no desire to get married.
Passing the audition for the role of Kanna in the movie “20th Century Boys” was definitely a turning point in my entertainment career. After appearing in the movie, I appeared on “Hirunandesu! and “Moshi Moshi Tours,” my range of work has expanded dramatically. I had always wanted to get married and become a mother in the future, but I really enjoy working on variety shows! I love being on location, and I no longer wanted to give up this enjoyment to get married. It was during this time that I met Master Imori (Miyuki Imori) on the job. She is an independent woman with a truly wonderful personality! I admired her way of life and had no desire to get married. But life doesn’t always turn out the way you expect it to, or rather, it is unpredictable. Just when I was thinking that I wanted to continue working in variety shows, I met her (laughs).
