Actor Hayato Ichihara (38) was a guest on TV Asahi’s “Tetsuko’s Room” (Monday-Friday, 1:00 pm) on the 23rd. He revealed his father’s occupation and talked about his own influences. The host, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, introduced Ichihara as “ riding a motorcycle and going on a trip,” and Ichihara said he had a place he wanted to go next, saying, “Actually, I’ve been planning to go there for two years. He confessed, “Actually, my father is a developer.” There are three of them in Japan. My father was the initiator of the project in Japan, and he chose two of them. I worked in San Diego for about 15 years. When asked what he was developing, he replied, “Development. I was a developer of various measuring devices,” said Ichihara. When a picture of a man standing in a car in the wilderness was shown, he said, “This is my father. I wanted to travel around the U.S. from San Diego to see the scenery that my father used to see,” he said. He added, “My bike is a reimported bike. It was sold in North America. The previous owner was in Detroit. That’s my dream right now. I wonder how it would be. There is a long straight road, and I think it would be an asset to meet people with different values,” he added emphatically. I don’t want to make up my mind. I don’t want to make decisions. I don’t want to be like those TV shows that say, “We’ve prepared a hotel and food,” and all that kind of thing. I want to do everything myself. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll just stay in the field. I’ll hang on to my bike and leave it there so it won’t get stolen,” he continued.
