I took dance lessons from age 3 to 16.
–Congratulations on your debut as a dancer! We have heard that you had been devoted to dancing before your debut as a sexy actress. Akemi Mitani: Thank you very much, I learned various dances, especially hip-hop, from the age of 3 to 16. My mother wanted me to learn ballet, but when she took me to class, I didn’t seem to enjoy it too much, so she switched to dance. Later, I even won the group championship in the Eastern Japan competition hosted by the school I attended. –I guess you must have practiced quite a bit. Why did I become a sexy actress?
–Akemi Mitani: It certainly is, but it must be hard to balance school and schoolwork. Akemi Mitani: It is true that I built my life around dance, so I took care to join club activities that were relatively low-impact. Incidentally, I was a member of the science club in junior high school (laughs).
