A woman in her 60s who experienced the popular “Horned Mansion” attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, passed out immediately after riding the ride and died at the hospital where she was taken, Entertainment Weekly reported. The Horned Mansion is a ride-style attraction set in an eerie Western-style mansion inhabited by 999 ghosts. A live-action movie based on the attraction was produced in 2003 and 2023.
Local police told the site that “Anaheim rescue personnel were dispatched to Disneyland to treat a woman in her 60s who lost consciousness immediately after riding the ‘Horned Mansion. Park employees attempted CPR until emergency personnel arrived, but the woman was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The cause of death has not been disclosed and is awaiting results from the coroner’s office.
The Horned Mansion is currently operating as “Horned Mansion Holiday,” a limited-time version themed on the movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas. A special program, “Holiday Nightmare,” is also running at Tokyo Disneyland until January 12, 2026. (Ryota Fujita)
